Will Good People of All Churches Be Saved? Pt 2
God’s will for all men is to fear Him and keep His commandments (Ecc. 12:13 - Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all.) God’s will is that all men will repent (2 Peter 3:9 - 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.) If this is the will of the Father, you must understand your spiritual state. Are you in Christ? Are you in the church that Jesus purchased with His blood? What must be done to those who are sinners? The bible has an answer for you…
Hear the gospel – Matt. 7:24, Acts 18:8, Rom. 10:8-17
The gospel is explained as the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 15:1-4 - Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,). This establishes the great truth that Jesus is the Son of God, and that anyone who believes ands obeys Him will be saved.
Believing in the one faith - Rom. 1:16, Eph. 4:5, Heb. 11:6
Repentance from sin – Luke 5:31-32, 13:3,5, Rom. 6:1-2
Confessing Christ as Lord – Matt. 10:32-33, Rom. 10:8-1
Be baptized into Christ – Acts 2:38, Rom. 6:3-4, Col. 2:11-12
When sinners obey these commands, then they are recognized as being in Christ. Then they accept Him as their Lord and Savior, doing God’s will.
The baptism must be of submersion, completely covering the body, and submerging the entire body in water (Acts 8:36-39). By the washing away of sin, we can receive the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus through baptism (Rom. 6:5-7).
You must be in the only church that Jesus started to be saved. Christ built only one church (Matt. 16:18). There’s only one body (Eph. 4:4). Jesus is the head of the church, not churches (Eph. 1:22-23, 5:23). It’s not made up of different denominations, wearing different names (Rom. 16:16), and teaching different creeds (Eph. 4:5). Jesus is not the author of confusion.
Salvation can only be found in Christ. So many false teachers deceive people into believing things contrary to the truth. Morals cannot save you. No amount of money can save you. You can spend your life doing good deeds, but without Christ in your life, it’s not worth it. If you’ve been baptized into Christ, you must wear the name of Christ (Acts 11:25-26) and be faithful (Rom. 12:1-2. Rev. 2:10).
The sad reality is that there will be a lot of people who will die in their sins, even though they thought they were a good person. So many of us know a lot of good people. But we know they are lost without Christ. It’s important that Christians reach out and teach people the gospel of Jesus. Everyone who claims to be good, or claims to be a Christian will not be saved. They haven’t obeyed Christ. The bible never promised that good people of all churches, even those in the church of Christ will be saved. Only those who follow God’s will, who have been baptized into Christ and the one church, and those who are faithful till death will be saved.
